Crossloop - Our Top of the Line Internet Tool!
Crossloop is one of the best if not the best remote desktop sharing software in the market today. It is so user-friendly that anyone even novices in computers, students, senior citizens would love. It is a very simple and easy to use software that brings computers and their owners together. Crossloop was founded by Tom Rolanders, one of the pioneers of the PC Operating System, a Senior Software Developer & bestfriend of Gary Kildall, founder of Digital Research and inventor of CPM the other operating system being considered for IBM PCs.
Crossloop goal is to bring people closer which I could say they have been successful specially with their version 1.20. Lots of people now are now able to assist even their families - kids, moms and dads who are not that computer literate; even businesses benefit a lot from Crossloop specially in areas wherein a user of a certain workstation who needs technical support in configuring his computer for other software installations, email client configuration, add/remove of hardwares and softwares - could now be able to get real-time support without any need for the support department to send somebody over to manually configure the user’s PC.
When they launched their version 2.0 lots of new stuffs had been added on to the software to encourage everyone to help each other in almost all areas of computer expertise. Among the new features are; as taken from (crossloop.typepad.com);
- “Create a FREE account to view your session history
- With an account, create a dynamic public profile page and reserve your custom CrossLoop URL - here is mine for example (http://www.CrossLoop.com/Trexper.id) Once created, your profile can be used to promote your expertise anywhere on the web.Your profile will update ‘automatically’ every time you have a CrossLoop session!
- With the account, log in to the client every time you have a CrossLoop session to record and track your session history and statistics.
- Use the CrossLoop Badge to promote your expertise: The CrossLoop Badge, which also updates with each session, can be pasted on any site, blog or social networking site (such as MySpace - You can add Crossloop as a friend here on it and advertise your business with a CrossLoop Badge with a comment like me). Furthermore, you can generate leads when someone clicks on ‘Contact Me’ on it
- Capture testimonials and referrals easily. When logged in to the client, the new post-roll for each session enables you to capture customer feedback:
- Rate the person who helped you or whom you helped
- Use tags (keywords) that describe the purpose of the session
- Add comments to review the session”
For virtual assistance business, Crossloop is the top of the line internet remote sharing tool to be effective not only in the field of technical support but in the areas whenever customers would want to didactically point out to the VA whatever tasks he wanted to be done the way he wants it to happen. It is just like doing the tasks by himself only that someone else is doing it for him and all he had to do is check and verify if the tasks being done is according to what he really intends them to be. We can’t imagine how to be able to do that without Crossloop.
Crossloop old tag is “Bringing People Closer” which I think they have successfully did through this very innovative internet application. Sharing and online collaborations are being promoted for the benefit of both the host and the user of Crossloop and for us in the Virtual Assistance business - VAs and customers.
We love Crossloop and the people behind it and definitely we would be using Crossloop as our Top of the Line remote desktop sharing tool in our Virtual Assistant business. Moreover, we are going to watch every step they take as Tom Rolander, along with his team continue what Gary Kildall had not finished during his time and probably relinquish and change history as it is supposed to be. This time indeed “Everyone Helps!” ![]()
