Goodbye Pig! Hello Rat!

Year of the Rat for Business
The Chinese symbolically connotes that each year is represented by an animal figure. We are now bidding goodbye to the Year of the Pig. In a couple of hours, we would be welcoming the Year of the Rat. In retrospect for this Pig Year, there are many good things that we at trexreviews (Review of New Technology and Services for Business) would like to highlight with few notes on the things that in as much as we don’t want to make those reviews, we could not since it is our goal to be able to come up with unbiased actual reviews all the time.

For SMEs trying to find their place under the vast arena of global business, we would like to touch upon some blessings that played major roles in setting up the business playing field. Among them are;

  1. Crossloop - who used to Bridge People & Their Computers Together but now is Helping Everyone to Help Each Other
  2. Linux Ubuntu - For Human Beings not for the Pigs
  3. Site5.com - No Excess Fat Web Hosting Service which is again not for the pigs
  4. Asterisk Now - not later
  5. Fuji Xerox DocuPrint 203A - a cost effective monochrome laser printer
  6. VoIP - the future of telephony
  7. Basecamp - the iPOD of Online Project Collaboration
  8. Open Office - Sun’s Rays Upon Us
  9. Sun Microsystem - a micro themed business that is helping SMEs on a Macro Level
  10. Virtual Assistance - would soon shape the way we work and virtually assist people in SMEs on how to focus on their core competencies while not compromising Personal & Business priorities

Among the few “negative reviews” that we made for this Year of the Pig with high hopes that in the coming Year of the Rat they are going to go for their Best - Best in terms of Customer & Technical Support;

  1. Linksys with their BEFSR41 - their Bigtime Failure?
  2. Windows XP Service Pack2 - is it really a Two-Year Service?

To sum it up, we have reviewed more good than bad at a ratio of 10:2. A good figure indeed. We have high hopes that since the Chinese says that “A Rat Year is a time of hard work, activity, and renewal, those mentioned in our negative reviews Hit List would rejuvenate the way they conduct business.

Although we started late in this outgoing year, we are elated & are looking forward that we are going to see more new technologies, cool web applications, cool softwares and more open source tools to review and reveal with the intention to help SMEs & consumers lead a better existence. We fervently hope that more positive reviews would spice up the entire coming year rather than stale ones.

We would like to thank everyone for being an integral part of trexreviews for 2007. We hope that you are still going to be with us for the challenges of the Rat Year (2008). It is our goal to make more unbiased and straight forward reviews for this coming year. Let us all join hands, shape up and go for the “Cheese!”

May We All Have A Prosperous New Year Ahead of Us! :)

Hi there Lankapo! Since it is already New Year, better give the rats your trousers as a gift. In that way, you make friends with them and be very lucky this coming year. :) Happy New Year Bro! Cheers!

This is their year so probably they are immune to that. :lol: :) Keep on trying though. :)
